All great entrepreneurs begin with a great idea. Great ideas cross all lines of gender and culture. Two of the nation’s most successful technology companies – Software House International, Inc., headquartered in Somerset, NJ, with $2.6 billion in 2005 revenues and World Wide Technology, Inc., headquartered in St. Louis, with $1.8 billion in 2005 revenues – are minority or women owned businesses.

Businesses headed by minorities and women contribute more than $1.4 trillion in sale of goods and services in the US economy. Our goal is to ensure that everyone in the southwest Ohio region has an opportunity to participate in the entrepreneurial life of the community. We do this through:

· Outreach – specifically communicating with technology-based minority and women business owners throughout the region.

“In this role, CincyTech acts as a nexus of information, mentoring, and capital access – that ensures an entrepreneurial environment for all business owners.”

· Mentoring – ensuring that each Executive-In-Residence (EIR) targets a portfolio of businesses that includes minority and women owned businesses.

· Systemic Intervention – using the connections of our staff, especially our EIRs, to help minority and women business owners gain access to capital available throughout the region.
